‘D’ GRACENOTES These are the same theory as ‘G’ gracenotes. Instead of using your High ‘G’ finger, you use your ‘D’ finger. The musical function of a ‘D’ gracenote is to either cut a note into smaller notes, or to link two notes together with a little bit of emphasis. The ‘Order of Events’ is as follows: As you can imagine, it is only possible to end on a note lower than ‘D’ when using this gracenote. Example ‘D’ GRACENOTE FROM LOW ‘A’ TO ‘B’
